Graeme’s brain is named as an somewhat ironic homage to the much ridiculed Star Trek episode “Spock’s Brain“. In “Spocks Brain” our eponymous hero’s brain is surgically removed. The stolen brain is installed as the “Controller”, a living computer regulating and controlling the environment of a load of thicko aliens for whom the following passes as whitty repartee:
